So now on the other end of their one hundred year pentinent Crusade, now the Lamenters have been fully gripped by the Curse. Captain Eurico, formerly of the 8th Company, has risen in ranks to the First.

'Baal' Predator 'Iconoclast'

The 'Iconoclast' was originally manufactured as a Predator Destructor. During the Badab War, the Battle of Optera in particular, the Lamenters performed many battlefield weapon conversions. This is the origin of this tanks weapon configuration, which is said to have been made by Techmarine Ignacio.

Death Company Xeras

The Death Company of Strike Force Iltempus are few in number, but each who has fallen to the Black Rage was once a true titan among men. There is fiery-haired Astor, who, in days long forgotten, won the Feast of Blades. Also stands cunning Vettius, who survived losing an arm, only to fall to the Rage a few days later. Thunderous Abraxes, who was once Malakim Phoros' finest champion, still wields his hammer with skill. Tech Adept Ibrihim; losing such a mind is a grievous blow to the Chapter. Brother Telus, finest marksmen in the 2nd Company, first succumbed to the Rage on the surface of Optera. The only among their number without some notoriety is Velus, who was only an initiate when he fell, perhaps making him the most tragic of their number.

The Lamenter (Sanguinor)

995.M41- present The Sanguinor appears many times alongside beleaguered Lamenters forces, taking the aspect of The Lamenter.

So the big news for me is that the Space Marine army I collect, the Lamenters, are now officially listed as a Blood Angel successor in the new Codex (it was speculation before). So, obviously, this opens up some interesting new list options... I think this'll be the first Blood Angel list I try out...
