They look pretty good all together, I'm not doing the bases because the client is getting some engraved clear resin bases (with Aquilas!).
I didn't get a shot of the side door with the Shark emblem but the symbol on the top hatch is copied from the Forge World Space Sharks transfer sheet.
Why are we using GK for them? And no shaving of all the GK emblems? Seems kinda half hearted to me, the paint doesn't look bad tho...
ReplyDeleteI hate to echo the same thoughts, but just taking the specific iconography off would have made a huge difference. That being said, I think it would have given them a much different look to their armour and really helped sell the idea of the Space Sharks.
ReplyDeleteAnd let's see the side of the Rhino too!
Sad to echo those above, but the GK icons could do with some liquid GS filling in and shaved off respectively. Otherwise I love the paint jobs. Which version of the chapter badge you going to choose?
ReplyDeleteI would totally do that if it were my personal project, but it's not, and that's not what the client payed for.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll be using both versions of the logo in different places.
Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI play a GK list that actually is completly different than any GK armies I have seen online or anywhere else and actually plays very much like Space Sharks Chapter overall tactics. The Space Shark Idea didnt come until much later into the fold, it was a joke from a few mates of mine about how much face the list eats and how ridiculous it is. Thus it was called SPEH SHERK list.
ReplyDeleteThe list plays to the philosophy of Reserve Gambit by Zen from Bloghammer.com but with a lot more control and a lot punch. No matter who I am playing against the army will always perform well and thats because it hits the table when I want and where I want resulting in a very Space Shark feel which is all about brutal precision strikes.
