Space Sharks RT Camo tester

So the Purifier unit in this army is going to be painted in the RT-era Space Sharks camo, this is the tester. I think a full ten will be pretty impressive.

Here is the scheme it is based on for those who may not know:

Space Sharks "Tactical" Squad and Rhino

They look pretty good all together, I'm not doing the bases because the client is getting some engraved clear resin bases (with Aquilas!).

I didn't get a shot of the side door with the Shark emblem but the symbol on the top hatch is copied from the Forge World Space Sharks transfer sheet.

Grey Knights as Space Sharks commission tester...

Got an interesting request for a commission. It's a Grey Knights army that is going to be painted Space Shark-y. I was told to downplay the Grey Knights visuals and embellish with a little shark tooth freehand. I went with the RT era helmet stripe, because it's old school, and distracts from the psychic hood.

Couple pics from a tournament I played Saturday. I didn't do well but I had some really fun games.

A tight game against Sisters of Battle.

Blood Angels v. Lamenters!

Malakim Phoros

Master of the Lamenters, Lord of Ruin, Watcher of the Deeps

937.M41 Long thought dead, Malakim Phoros is reunited with Lamenters forces after nearly thirty years navigating through the Maelstrom. It is quickly decided that he should retake the mantle of Chapter Master, though no one in the Calix Priesthood was able to determine how he hadn't yet fallen to the Black Rage.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally got Malakim done. He is based off the Gabriel Seth model. I replaced Blood Reaver with a Nemesis Force Weapon from a Grey Knight Terminator for his Glaive Encarmine. I liberated a wrist-mounted Infernus from a Sanguinary Guard model for Catechist, his strangely unspecial named piece of equipment. I got inspiration from a guy on B&C for bit placement to cover his Tearer bits. Note the bloody tears, now that's a Lamenter.
Lamenters Masters Super Friends!
An extra pic with names....
Epistolary Menoloth, the Lost One
905.M41 While searching for an image he saw in a vision, Chief Librarian Menoloth disappears into the Maelstrom with a small bodyguard. They are presumed lost in the warp, it is a grievous blow to the Chapter.
997.M41 Epistolary Menoloth, now known as the Lost One, returns from the Maelstrom with the daemon blade Walach. None of his bodyguard remain. After extensive testing it is determined Menoloth remains pure of heart, so he takes command of the newly formed Strike Force Ostro, composed mostly of Brothers whose recruitment was censured by the High Lords.
998.M41 Strike Force Ostro encounters Dark Eldar Covens on the Eastern Fringe as the Lamenters begin to Crusade out past the light of the Astronomicon.
Death Company Athaloc
Chaplain Athaloc always assembled a fearsome host of Death Company around him, the finest Lamenters to fall to the Rage and where a jump pack. Generally a member of the Librarium would join him in Command; as with age, Athaloc began to lose his tactical mind.
Brother Jacobus,
Fell from the Sepulchery Guard while battling the Eldar of Biel-tan.
Brother Ephaestos,
Veteran of the 1st Company
Captain Elemnus,
former Captain of the 8th,
and survivor of over 17 engagements with the Death Company
The Duelist,
though a Tactical Marine before his fall The Duelist was
somehow gifted with an amazing skill of sword ever since.
Captain Eurico of the 1st Company, Post Crusade
So now on the other end of their one hundred year pentinent Crusade, now the Lamenters have been fully gripped by the Curse. Captain Eurico, formerly of the 8th Company, has risen in ranks to the First.
'Baal' Predator 'Iconoclast'
The 'Iconoclast' was originally manufactured as a Predator Destructor. During the Badab War, the Battle of Optera in particular, the Lamenters performed many battlefield weapon conversions. This is the origin of this tanks weapon configuration, which is said to have been made by Techmarine Ignacio.
Death Company Xeras
The Death Company of Strike Force Iltempus are few in number, but each who has fallen to the Black Rage was once a true titan among men. There is fiery-haired Astor, who, in days long forgotten, won the Feast of Blades. Also stands cunning Vettius, who survived losing an arm, only to fall to the Rage a few days later. Thunderous Abraxes, who was once Malakim Phoros' finest champion, still wields his hammer with skill. Tech Adept Ibrihim; losing such a mind is a grievous blow to the Chapter. Brother Telus, finest marksmen in the 2nd Company, first succumbed to the Rage on the surface of Optera. The only among their number without some notoriety is Velus, who was only an initiate when he fell, perhaps making him the most tragic of their number.
Brother Theokales of the Cursed Knights
So the Lamenters have Death Company now. I am painting the models one at a time, to spend a little extra work on them....
The Lamenter (Sanguinor)
995.M41- present The Sanguinor appears many times alongside beleaguered Lamenters forces, taking the aspect of The Lamenter.
So the big news for me is that the Space Marine army I collect, the Lamenters, are now officially listed as a Blood Angel successor in the new Codex (it was speculation before). So, obviously, this opens up some interesting new list options... I think this'll be the first Blood Angel list I try out...
Chief Librarian Falkas of the Lamenters
In 906.M41, one year after the disappearance of Chief Librarian Menoloth, Epistolary Falkas was named as the new Chief of the Librarium. His appointment came as a surprise to most, as Brother Falkas had recently been having great trouble containing the Rage. A quite venerable Marine, Falkas is the only living Lamenter to have set foot on Terra, having done so on pilgrimage as a young Initiate. When Menoloth returned he did not regain the title of Chief Librarian, so Falkas' position was not challenged.
Master Lukas, Captain of the 10th Company, Master of Recruits
940.M41 Malakim Phoros commissions the Captain of the 10th Company, Lukas, to re-initiate recruitment, despite the edicts of the High Lords of Terra.
BoLScon Army Board
Put together an army board for easy transport. tra la la.
BoLScon List
So I decided to play in the BoLScon 40k tournament instead of just judging. I think this Lamenter army will be very fun and versatile.
