War Convocation up on eBay!
I put up my much loved War Convocation on eBay to fund future projects. Lots more pics in the listing!

Mechanicum Sicarans
These two are the Sicaran Princeps from my War Convocation army. I didn't like the jackets, so neither got them, and have to rely on wargear to distinguish themselves.

Skitarii Vanguard
More units from the War Convocation. I used 30K graviton guns as the special weapons; sometimes they are arc rifles and sometimes they are plasma calivers (always on my list of course!). I jazzed them up a bit with some freehand circuitry.

Mechanicum Bound Cyberungulates
These are a couple of Theokales' experiments, the dreaded Bound Cyberungulates. Starting with the pure bulk of some large ungulates, Theokales further augments their skeletons and adds slabs of muscle via steroidal induction. To finish, the Magos removes their skulls and replaces it with a primitive Cybernetica Cortex. The result is a cheap, yet effective, battering ram with the singular ability to identify enemies and throw itself in their direction.
These are some of the models from my War Convocation that I will begin to show this month. Stay tuned for more.

Magos Biologis Theokales
In his quest for bodily perfection, Genetor Magos Biologis Theokales has significantly augmented his form, believing flesh is simply another form of machine, rather than inferior to a machine.

Interference Servitors
Made these two fellows out of the bitz box... the one on the left is based on a DE Urghul (sp?) and the one on the right has a Bloodletter body....

Kastellan Conversion
I wasn't stoked about the original heads on the Robot Maniple, and that swapping them out would be necessary for me to really like the model. I ended up using a targeter from a Land Raider lascannon for a kind of Wall-E look. I set the back of an Imperial Guard tank searchlight into the neck cavity so it is not just empty space. Anyway, pretty east and I think a big improvement...

Woof, woof! Mechanicum Cyber-Mastiff (FW)
I decided a while ago I wanted a "Kroot Hound" to go with my Mechanicum Menials counts-as Kroot. I have one of the old Necromunda all-robot Cyber Mastiffs back in Austin, which my initial thought. But then... I had an opportunity to get one of the exclusive FW organic cyber-mastiff models, and I jumped on it. I ended up giving him a color scheme similar to an English Mastiff, and let the bloody, worn skin around his sutures and augments tie him in with the rest of the Menial unit. I gave him bright yellow eyes to give him a slightly more unnatural look.

WIP: Ichthys Rex, Baron of Knight Household Brightwood
Not super close to done yet, but you can see the general idea coming together. The design was almost entirely stolen by the ever-talented Sheep, over at Forlorn Hope. I am trying to source something nice for a shoulder mounted weapon. I was thinking of using a twin autocannon from a Contemptor, to make it reminiscent of the old Castellan Knight, but I really wish I had a heavy conversion beamer to use. I used the extra hands I had from my Thallax conversions for his little manipulator arms; I thought of having them hold something, but it didn't look right without the face inspecting it.
Stick em' up!

Icarian Thallax Cohort Zeta
So I got the Thallax unit all painted up and I am really happy with them. I used something similar to the Forgeworld scheme for them, with just a bit brassier metal colour. I went with some simplistic Mechanicus freehand on the launchers, to tie them into the Magos and Menials. I used the same white (Ulthuan Grey) as a spot colour on the missles themselves.

Magos Dominus & the new GW Technical Oxide
Got some of the new GW Technical Oxide paint to try out; certainly like how it turned out here on the Dominus. Something you could totally do with other paints with a bit more difficulty, but it is neat to have it come right out of the bottle this way; easy peasy. Followed the cues from FW and went with a wood grain for some of his equipment. He is just the perfect kind of crazy and I am getting so fond of my Mechanicus forces that I already am formulating plans for a little Knight Titan/ Cybernetica action...

WIP: Icarian Thallax Cohort and Magos Dominus
Next up on the Mechanicum front, some beefed up Thallax...
I have them extra recoil absorbing back legs, so they could theoretically stabilize.
They are also all magnetized to go on either 40mm, 50mm, or 60mm (shown) bases, depending on how I want to use them...

Mechanicum Menials
So I ordered some Mechanicum Thallax and a Magos Dominus to go with my White Scars. I usually have to play 40K rules, as opposed to the Heresy list, so that means using some 'counts-as' magic to field my lovely cyborgs. So that meant. no matter how I used them, I'd need to make a unit of Menials to act as an Allied Troop choice (not to mention this gave me a project to work on until my other, more exciting, units arrived). Enter Dark Vengenace Chaos Cultists.
I used a variety of backpacks and wire to get the look I wanted, as well as a few pairs of Scout Sniper optical arrays.
For the paint scheme, I shamelessly stole from Dave Taylor (as seen here), thanks Dave! The paint scheme definitely put them over the top for me, as far as 'un-chaos-ifying' them.
