This army is going to be a show stopper. Really amazing stuff man.
Incredible. Really love the look of this guy. Excellent work.
You're an amazing talent, Chris. Where do you get your ideas? That's not rhetorical! Seriously, where? The concept on this one is fantastic, and while I recognize there are elements of the fantasy undead-rising-from-the-earth, placing this spin on the Crons still takes vision.Awesome work.
The whole army looks great so far and I love the idea of rising from the earth and the subtle conversions, like leaving the drivers off your bardges.
Thanks everyone, I am really enjoying working on this project.Brent, thanks so much. I have always liked Necrons, but not the plainness of them. I just wanted something to make them unique in a way that wouldn't require a crazy paint scheme. I actually did the first test model for this army over 3 years ago, but then sold off the Necron Battleforce I had painted up, so things are a bit hazy on the origins.
I'm with everyone else on this. I'm so used to seeing Necrons as sprayed silver with a black wash, that when someone comes up with an original ideal, I'm floored. The inclusion of the earth/swamp on the model itself is truly clever.
I knew I should have used the target cyclops eye for my Lord.... Looks awesome!
Dead Sexy. Your earthy Necrons remind me of Moloch's "Terror from the Black Lagoon" swamp necrons. Were they at all inspired by his?
