King Kreel's Grand Hunt: Idoneth Deepkin

The Grand Hunt at the Warhammer Citadel

The Eidolon of Mathlann

King Kreel’s Grand Hunt

Pah’rah, the Living River, pours across Ghur like a snake, eternally emerging from the Swallowing Sea. Its channel is guided, like much of the landscape of Ghur, by a predatory instinct and hunger. It emerges from the sea and tears across the landscape until, satiated, it pours back into its primal source. None are safe from its sudden rage, not plump Ogor settlements, nor vast hosts of Orruks. But the ravages of raging waters are not the only peril that await those who encounter the Living River, for the dark green waters of the Living River have become home to an Enclave of one the Realms most secretive races.
A scion of Fuethan, King Kreel brought his people to Ghur in order to seek out the shallow places and feast on the souls of savages and beasts. There, in the Swallowing Sea, they founded the Malavoi Enclave. From the Eltharin which Teclis taught the Cythai, Kreel knew Malavoi meant “savagery of the deep”.

King Kreel and his Grand Hunt did not encounter the Living River until they had lived in Ghur for many years. When they finally did, they were awestruck. For ‘river’ is almost a misnomer for Pah’rah. Pah’rah is a crashing tsunami, far from sea. A massive wave on the horizon, consuming all it reaches. To the sea dwelling Malavoi, it was home. While they still visit their outposts in the sea, the bulk of the Malavoi Enclave continually travels with Pah’rah. Forever one with a never ending tide.

WIP: Hedonismbot inspired Cryptek

I have been using a Cryptek as my Warlord lately, so I wanted to make a model that was suitably decadent and different from the others; I eventually settled on Hedonismtek. I used the body of a Wraith flipped over with a crew from a barge for the torso, arms, and head.. Other little random pieces for detail and sculpted some grapes from brown stuff, then glued over a piece of wire.
I think he still needs a bowl of grapes for his belly, but having a hard time working out the bowl... I might use the gun tip of a tesla destructor as a start....

"I apologize for nothing!"

New Cryptek Conversion (using WFB Banshee)

So we have all seen the ole' Cryptek converted from a Cairn Wraith at this point. I mean, almost everyone has done one. All my Crypteks are converted from plastic Fantasy Undead characters. Previously I had the old Cairn Wraith standby and two more made from plastic Corpse Cart drivers. For this last one it came down to either the plastic Banshee or the plastic Necromancer. It basically came down me wanting an additional floating Cryptek, as both the Corpse Cart drivers were planted firmly on the ground. Overall this is the little more difficult than the Wraith conversion, which is just a weapon and head swap. I basically just sliced the Banshee in half and then built an upper body with extra bits from the Barge sprue, making sure to pose the upper body quite wistfully.

Envoys of Tombworld Ib, Dynasty of the Fleshy Kings

Many Necron Lords long to return their race to the flesh and blood form that was stolen from them. For the rulers of the Tombworld Ib, this longing has become an obsession, and the sole purpose and catalyst for all of their actions. In raid after raid, their enemies are terrified to find that the Legions of Ib take but one thing in their battles; the fallen corpses of the enemy.

The Lords of Ib, dubbed the 'Fleshy Kings' by Inquisitor Balorea,  have employed numerous dark technologies and spent countless hours experimenting on the flesh of the living races, trying to create a vessel in which they and their legions could dwell. The Envoys represent their most current, best, attempt at this feat. The Fleshy Kings have found it easy to create biological bodies, manipulating and tweaking genomes on a molecular level and growing the resultant creatures in vats of biological compounds. Yet they have found it very difficult to animate these hulks, much less transfer their minds into them. Thus  the Lords of Ib have experimented with the use of  mindshackle scarabs to reanimate the dead, stealing corpses from the battlefield and recreating their synapses with nanotechnology. The combination of these experiments has given rise to the Envoys, vat-grown monstrosities based off the Space Marine genome and animated by a network of mindshackle scarabs acting as a crude nervous system.

Though unpredictable in battle, they are quite resilient. Elimination of the Envoys and any other field test experiments should be of the highest priority when engaging the armies of Ib.
